WARRAGAMBA DAM CLOSE TO FULL - SPILLING FROM TODAY FOR TWO WEEKS
Warragamba Dam is close to full capacity, so from around noon today and for two weeks, WaterNSW will be operating the gates manually to lower the water level to 1m below full supply.
This procedure is to allow for essential maintenance on critical dam assets.
Assuming no further rainfall, the drawdown should be complete within two weeks, says WaterNSW.
River users may notice a small increase in river heights over this period, they say.
