Very High fire rating Saturday for the Hawkesbury – no Total Fire Ban so far

Saturday will see the Hawkesbury wake to a Very High fire rating.

The RFS has just confirmed the rating. Little surprise given temperatures are expected to bust through the 40 degree level on both Saturday and Sunday.

At the moment there is no Total Fire Ban, but clearly conditions are not gong to be conducive to any kind of burn off, so use your common sense there.

The RFS say a Very High rating means you should, “review your bush fire survival plan with your family. Keep yourself informed and monitor conditions. Be ready to act if necessary”
