The weekend…Bilpin’s Perfick Gardens
If you fancy a walk around a cool climate private garden stretched over 25 acres, then Perfick Gardens is your ideal destination this weekend.
Much of the garden was planted 20 years ago and overlooks a three-acre lake stocked with Silver Perch. Features include a three-story 15-metre tall mock medieval tower (open for inspection), a large walled kitchen garden and henhouse, and mass plantings of Northern hemisphere trees and shrubs. Driveways are lined with Cherry, Crabapple and Azaleas, complemented by areas of Camellias, Rhododendron, and deciduous trees.
Entry is $10 for adults, children under 18 free entry. Please note, cash only and nearest toilets are in Bilpin Park.
Perfick Gardens are at 10 Powells Road, Bilpin.
The gardens are open every Saturday in October from 11am to 4pm.
