Pulling out from kerb caused North Richmond car flip

More on the accident on Riverview St, North Richmond yesterday morning at 7.30am, which is a salutary tale of making sure nothing is coming when you pull away from the kerb.

One of the damaged cars

The incident occurred when a 31-year-old female driver who was parked at the kerb outside 35 Riverview St, North Richmond pulled out in front of a car being driven by a 20-year-old woman. In the collision, the younger woman’s car flipped right over and landed back on its wheels on the footpath. The side mirror of a third vehicle was damaged from debris flying off the car as it flipped. The flipped car had to be towed from the scene.

Surprisingly, there were no injuries. Breath tests carried out by police were negative.
