POWER UPDATE – 1pm. More faults found – power to be restored by this evening

In this latest update, some suburbs have now had their power restored but others may have to wait until this evening for power.

Suburbs still without power are: Londonderry (767), Wilberforce (600), Ebenezer (508), Agnes Banks (376), Lower Portland (284), South Maroota (241), Maroota (201), Lower MacDonald (158), St Albans (139), Sackville North (137), Colo Heights (127), Freemans Reach (110), Wisemans Ferry (106), Castlereagh (94) and Cumberland Reach (91).

Endeavour Energy crews are continuing to restore power to 5000 homes after last night’s ferocious storm.

Crews from across the network have descended on the Hawkesbury which saw the most significant damage from the wind and lightning.

While many customers have had their power put back since early this morning, crews are finding more damage as all parts of the network are patrolled, say Endeavour Energy.

“We remain confident on safely restoring power to all customers tonight,” a spokesman said at 1pm.
