Overturned truck trailer and digger leads to traffic holdup at turf farms

Around 7.15 this morning police and emergency services were called to the roundabout at Gorricks Lane near the turf farms at Windsor after a tipper truck pulling a trailer had the rear end with a digger on tip over on the roundabout.

Freemans Reach RFS were quickly on scene as were police and several tow trucks.

Motorists had to wait – and a queue built during the usually busy school run – as the trailer was put back on its wheels after being winched by a heavy-duty truck.

There are not thought to be any injuries but we’ll being you more details of course as we get them. The road was clear by 8.20am, with traffic flowing freely.
