Nominations for 2021 Western Sydney Women Awards are now open
If you know someone who you think should be nominated for the popular Western Sydney Women Awards, now is the time to do it.
These awards, says Western Sydney Women Founding Director Amanda Rose, are the only awards program representing women at all stages in their life, business & career across the Inner West, Greater West, North West & South West of Sydney. Ms Rose, says it is the only awards program that is free to enter and free to attend to ensure it is accessible to all women.
“Western Sydney Women is the first and only organisation to advocate for all women from the Inner West, Greater West, North West and South West of Sydney, with a mission to be the voice and inspiration for all women living and working in the Western Sydney areas,” says Ms Rose.
The organisers are looking for:
Women who excel in business Inspiring female role models Women who have demonstrated excellence in their career and elsewhere Women who have made significant contributions in their community Women who have made a difference to Greater Western Sydney
“We are also passionate about recognising women in male-dominated careers, like trade and construction,” Ms Rose told the Post.
“STEM is also important to us as we want to inspire other women to join industries that have huge potential for career paths that are available in their local area.
“More than just recognising leaders in business, these awards are created to highlight our community leaders, change makers, young women, educators and our creative,” Ms Rose said.
The Awards event will be held on Thursday, November 4 at Bankstown Sports and will be attended by key community, government and business members, including members of the Western Sydney Women community.
Nominations are now open, with the website closing to submissions at 5pm Friday August 27.
