Noisy party, brawl in the street, and arrests – Hawkesbury police called in to help colleagues

Nov 1, 2020

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command were called in to help their colleagues from Castle Hill and Quakers Hill early today (Sunday) to stop a large party in Maraylya, a brawl in the street, and to help arrest three party-goers.

About 12.10am officers from The Hills Police Area Command were called to a house on Bitalli Street, Maraylya, following complaints about a noisy house party.

Police arrived to find a brawl going on in the middle of the road, which they stopped and then dispersed the people.

The house guests were told to leave the premises and given a move-on direction from the area.

When officers attempted to speak with the occupants of the rental property it’s alleged they were refused entry.

Polair, the Dog Squad and support from Hawkesbury Police Area Command and Quakers Hill Police Area Command were called to assist at the scene.

A 23-year-old Mount Druitt woman was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station where she was charged with assaulting a police officer.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday November 18.

Two youths, both aged 17, were arrested and taken to Riverstone Police Station where they were each charged with resist or hinder police officers in the execution of their duty.

The teens were both granted conditional bail to appear at a children’s court on Friday November 27.

Investigations into the party and the events surrounding it continue.
