Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after Putty bike accident
A 55-year-old man was airlifted by helicopter to Westmead Hospital after he came off a motorbike in Putty on Sunday afternoon.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was called out by NSW Ambulance shortly before 4:00pm and landed in a paddock near the patient shortly after.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and a NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic were first on scene and performed a clinical assessment on the man before administering pain relief for suspected rib fractures.
The clinical team continued providing care as the man was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
NSW Ambulance, NSW Police and NSW Fire and Rescue crews also attended.
The incident follows a separate two-bike accident on Bells Line of Road on Saturday. We’ll have more details on that soon.
