Man with ammo, replica pistol, drugs and stolen items caught by police in South Windsor

Oct 2, 2020

If you’re missing a hedge trimmer or a portable safe, a couple of drones or a remote controlled car, Hawkesbury police may be able to help after they arrested a 23-year-old Bligh Park man last night.

Police made the arrest after calls from the public just after 11pm Thursday about a man acting suspiciously on a motorbike around McKellar Crescent.

Officers were on the scene swiftly and detained the man who they found had a replica pistol, ammunition, a white powder substance believed to be the drug Ketamine and a number of property items suspected to be stolen or unlawfully obtained.

He was taken to Windsor Police Station and charged with 16 offences, including traffic related offences, six charges of Goods in Custody believed to be stolen, firearms related offences, Supply Prohibited Drug, and Deal With Proceeds of Crime.

Bail was refused and the man appears today before Penrith Local Court.

Police are working to identify the owners of several items which they believe were taken by the man in stealing or break and enter thefts.

If you’ve lost or had stolen a hedge trimmer, battery charger, portable safe, remote control car, or two drones, give Windsor police station a call on 4587 4099. Quote the case number: E75312330.
