Man in serious condition after crash near Wisemans Ferry
Updated: Apr 15
A 48-year-old man was airlifted to hospital this afternoon in a serious condition after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a truck near Wisemans Ferry.
CareFlight was tasked to attend the scene on St Albans Road at 1.03pm and landed just 10 minutes later in a paddock very close by.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic were the first medical team to arrive so they assessed the motorcyclist who’d sustained serious injuries to his right lower leg.
The clinical team intubated the man so they could administer pain relief and stabilise him before loading him into the CareFlight helicopter.
The man was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition under clinical supervision of CareFlight’s clinical team.
Rural Fire Service, police and NSW Ambulance were also on scene.
