Keeping the Hawkesbury Afloat – flood relief concert coming up at Kurrajong Heights Bowlo
Local bands and musicians are set to be just part of the varied entertainment later this month at Kurrajong Heights Bowling Club in a fund-raising event for those in the Hawkesbury affected by the floods of 2021 and 2022.
As well as the music, there will be rides for the kids, a Rotary BBQ, HCOS face painting, arts and crafts, and even Devonshire teas.
Organiser Lichell Maris says MP Susan Templeman who was on the ground helping out during the floods will be there, and many local businesses have generously donated products and vouchers to be auctioned live on the day.
Local musicians and entertainers appearing include Lizards, Coverpalooza, Dave Wilkins, Matt Charnley, Dave Bleus, Jeb Zarb, Working Poor, Bowen and Clare, and Cher & Elvis Experience.
The community event is sponsored by Kurrajong Village Baptist Church, alongside the Kurrajong Heights Bowlo.
All proceeds will go to all families affected and displaced by the 2021 and 2022 floods.
The event is on Saturday May 28 from 12.30pm – 8.30pm at the Kurrajong Heights Bowling and Recreation Club, 1530 Bells Line of Rd, Kurrajong Heights.
Tickets are $30.00 for adults, $15 for children, with a Family pass at $50.
