Get along and have a bowl, some tea, coffee and cake at Kurrajong Heights Bowlo today for free!
Updated: Apr 15
Get up to Kurrajong Heights Bowling Club today from 10am and join in their first intergenerational bowling event – that means anyone can come along and the club wants to encourage people of all ages to get along and try their hand at lawn bowls.
There will be experts on hand for free tuition, and there’s a free playgroup and homeschool meet-up too so all you parents and nippers can get along there too.
Of course bowling is not mandatory – but why wouldn’t you? You can just go along and get a free first time barista-made coffee and home-made cake.
They’ve done a lot of work at the club over the past few months and it’s looking spick and span, and we can confidently say it’s one of the friendliest clubs in the Hawkesbury.
The event is on every Tuesday from today and and second time fee will be $5 for morning tea and bowls for Club members and pensioners, and $10 for non-members - the Club supplies the bowls and all other equipment.
There’s also a great fenced playground for the little ones, and five acres for the big kids to explore.
Everyone is welcome to go along and play, or just watch, laugh and enjoy the morning.
Deputy President of the Club, Matilda Julian, told the Post this really is an event for all ages.
“This is all about people ion the area coming together for coffee, or tea and a chat, and also the chance to have a play at bowls,” Ms Julian said.
So get up there to Kurrajong Heights Bowlo between 10 and 12 noon today and you’ll have a great time.
