COVID UPDATE – THURS – 65 NEW NSW CASES – 28 INFECTIOUS IN COMMUNITY – HIGHER NUMBER PREDICTED FRI
There were 65 new cases of community transmission in NSW during the last 24 hours, and 28 of those were infectious in the community.
“That is the critical number [infectious in community] we need to watch in the days ahead, “ said Premier Gladys Berejiklian just now, 11am.
The Hawkesbury currently has four known cases of Covid – that number rose by one yesterday – but NSW Health say they know the source of each and those four are in isolation.
The Premier said that in NSW she was “predicting we will have higher case numbers tomorrow”.
But in a glimmer of hope, the Premier said though the numbers “are bouncing around, they are not growing exponentially”.
"Keep doing what you are doing. Keep sticking to the rules,” she said. “Only leave the house unless you absolutely have to.”
