If you run a non-essential business which has to shut down over the two week lockdown period, or you are in a stressed financial situation because of the restrictions, Premier Gladys Berejiklian says financial help is on the way.

“Nobody should feel stressed about their financial situation,” the Premier said this afternoon – Saturday.

“Obviously, there are provisions for us [NSW] and we will, as a state Government in the next few day, we’ll be announcing support to businesses and also the Federal Government support to household kicks in at a certain time.

“And obviously, that will kick in. So nobody should feel stressed or pressure to break any of the rules because of their financial situation. The New South Wales Government will be there to support businesses and, of course, the Commonwealth support to households kicks in as well.

“We will provide that information and that detail in the next few days, but in the meantime, I don’t want anyone to feel stressed more than we need to and I don’t want anyone to feel panicked about their financial situation,” she said.
