Bells Line of Road to reopen in 48 hours – one lane, 40kph speed limit
Good news – BLOR is set to reopen this week, allowing drivers to travel in both directions at a reduced speed limit of 40 kph.
NSW Transport Minister Paul Toole made the announcement and said, “crews have been busy assessing the road damaged by last month’s wild weather, and are patching significant potholes between Bell and Mount Tomah.
“After yesterday’s geotechnical investigation revealed no further damage to Bells Line of Road since last week, we expect the road to reopen under traffic control within the next 48 hours.
“We know how important this road is both to locals and as a connection between Sydney and the Central West, and we’ve been working hard to ensure it is safe to reopen.
“While there’s still a lot of work to do to restore it to full capacity, we’ll be working hard to keep communities up to date and connected,” the Minister said.
