Aussie Pumps reaches out with full-time roles to Hawkesbury residents on job hunt

A successful Hills district pump manufacturer is on the hunt for more staff as its business continues to grow, and they’re reaching out to Hawkesbury residents to help fill the vacancies.

The company is looking to fill several positions, including sales cadets, fitters, secretaries and product managers, as well as warehouse staff.

“We need to fill about six to seven various positions,” a spokesperson told the Post.

“They are full time. As we are in manufacturing the factory is continuing to operate so we continue to work to produce pumps for farmers, construction and the mining industry and pressure cleaners to contractors and cleaners to control the virus,” said the spokesperson.

“Our fire pumps are also being ordered to fight fires in the northern hemisphere.”

The company began 27 years ago with only four people making pumps for the agricultural and mining industries, as well as government, and it's now grown to 40.

“Our success is all about the quality of the great staff. It’s all about the people”, said Recruitment Officer, Linda-Sue Karkowski.

“At Aussie Pumps, we’re seeing a surge in demand for our products as the country comes out of drought and agricultural production soars,” said Aussie’s Sales Manager Brad Farrugia. “We need to recruit individuals who want a career in the vital, dynamic water industry.”

“We train our staff to put the customer first, from product development through to customer service. We’re proud to be an Australian manufacturer,” said Mr Farrugia.

World-wide success for these Australian-made pumps

The company works out of a two and a half acre site in the Hills Norwest commercial area, with onsite parking, good public transport links and many retail businesses nearby.

“If you’re tired of home isolation and want to work in a stimulating, fast-paced environment as part of a team, then we want to hear from you,” said Mr Farrugia.
