Arrests five minutes after car stolen at Freemans Reach
In what might well be a record for police response, a vehicle stolen from Freemans Reach on Saturday at 4.35pm was stopped by patrol car officers five minutes later and two people were arrested.
Investigations revealed that both the man and woman in the car had driven the vehicle and both were disqualified drivers.
Officers also gave the 27-year-old North Richmond woman a roadside drug test which returned a positive reading for methylamphetamine.
The 40-year-old Londonderry man has been charged with several offences and bail was refused.
The woman was also charged with a number of offences and released on conditional bail by the Parramatta Bail Court to appear before Windsor Court this Thursday.
