$100 for each Hawkesbury resident over 18 - Dine & Discover vouchers go live

If you’ve been holding off going out for a local meal – maybe money has been a bit tight, or you’ve been kept in by the fires, floods and Covid - now is the time to book your table, as the NSW government rolls out the Dine & Discover voucher scheme to encourage people to support their local food and entertainment businesses.

The Hawkesbury rollout of the scheme was announced today – Tuesday - by state MP Robyn Preston.

“These vouchers will breathe new life into the local economy and help ease the cost of living for families,” Ms Preston said.

Dine & Discover NSW vouchers are divided into two categories:

  • Two $25 vouchers to be used for eating in at restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and clubs seven days a week, excluding public holidays.

  • Two $25 vouchers to be used for entertainment and recreation, including cultural institutions, live music, and arts venues, available seven days a week, excluding public holidays.

This gives each resident over the age of 18, $100 to spend via the vouchers.

“This stimulus will bring much needed relief to some of the community’s hardest hit industries,” Ms Preston said. “We want businesses to grow and thrive and for workers to stay in jobs.

“Whether it’s a café, restaurant, cinema or gallery, these industries have been hit hard by the pandemic, but these vouchers will encourage more customers to come through the door and spend.”

Customers can spend the vouchers via the Service NSW app.

You can apply online to receive their vouchers through the latest version of the Service NSW app and website, and a non-digital solution will be made available to customers who don’t have a smartphone or compatible device.

If you are a business, it’s not too late to register.

Vouchers are valid until June 30.

The vouchers can only be used at eligible businesses that have implemented a Covid Safety Plan and are registered as Covid Safe.
