A morning of MiniRoos magic: U6 Unicorns and U6 Bears showcase their moves  

In a heartwarming display of youth soccer, the U6 Unicorns clashed with the U6 Bears at the Wilberforce Soccer Fields. This eagerly anticipated match-up saw friends competing against friends and even siblings facing off against each other.

Local child sexual assault victims vindicated as their abuser gets 14 years jail

NSW public servant, Michael Scholz, has been convicted of the sexual abuse of two local teenage girls and sentenced to 14 years in prison. The 59-year-old from Wilberforce was found guilty of 13 offences that occurred in 2021 by a jury and will serve at least eight years and eight months without parole.

Scholz, who had previously served as volunteer Head of the Rural Fire Service (RFS) brigade in Wilberforce, had already spent some time behind bars before being released on bail.  During that time had been living in the local community, leading to encounters with one of the victims on multiple occasions.

 McMahon promises, again, to get to the bottom of secret Grose Vale bridge/road re-routing

Hawkesbury Mayor Sarah McMahon has promised for the second time this year to belatedly uncover “in coming months”, who secretly ordered the rerouting of the Grose Vale bridge road that at one stage was going to destroy a local family farm.  

The Redbank Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) and Grose River Bridge project has been a controversial issue since the approval of the Redbank development in 2011 when Bart Bassett was Mayor.
