Join author and journalist Jackie Dent as she discusses with Hawkesbury Post publisher, Samantha Magnusson about her time at the Australian Facility for Taphomonic Experimental Research as part of her research into her book on whole body donation – “The Great Dead Body Teachers.”

Jackie’s grandparents donated their bodies to the University of Queensland and she went on a quest to find out what happened to their bodies, the fate of donors now and the incredible history of anatomy and dissection.

The family of local property developer Matthew Bennett has threatened residents of a seniors’ development at Kurrajong they are running, with legal action if they talk to the media.

Lawyers representing Pamela Bennett, 86, the mother Richmond based property developer Matthew Bennett have issued a detailed legal letter – a copy of which has been seen by the Hawkesbury Post – warning the residents of the Tallowood development in Kurrajong. It demands that they commit in writing to remain silent, as a dispute between them and the Bennetts, concerning an extension of the development they bought into almost a decade ago continues to escalate.

Serious Single Vehicle Crash: Two Men Arrested, Child Injured

Two men have been arrested and will face Penrith Court later this month following a severe car crash at Cranebrook involving a child. Police said that immediately following the crash two men arrived at the scene and placed a third occupant into a shopping trolley before leaving.

Yesterday evening, at approximately 7:30 PM on Thursday, August 31, 2023, emergency services responded to distress calls regarding a vehicle that had collided with a tree at the intersection of Pendock Road and Sherringham Road in Cranebrook. The collision was so severe that it caused the vehicle to catch fire. Bystanders rescued the three male occupants from the wreckage.
